Twilight Series
I asked my friend one day to find a book for me because I was dying of bordom with little work around final exam times. So she walked around the library and while later came back with some handfulls of books that she had read herself, mostly mysteries. I brushed them aside and said, ‘ya got anything a little dark but modern?’. So she comes back with this thick book called Twilight. Skeptical because of its size I rented it in an attempt to subdue my bordom. Mind you i hate reading, I started to read the book and was instantly attatched to the black and white print and couldn’t place it down.
For those of you who don’t possess any idea of what this book is about, then heres a brief overlook.
A girl named Bella transfers to Forks, Washington from Phonix, Arizona to visit her father because of divorce reasons. She has to settle into a new highschool and small town. But she is not the only new news to this town as mysterious children of the Cullen family also inhabit the town just before she got there. Trying to be normal, everythiing goes just fine for her until she comes in contact with the hot and freakishly pale Edward Cullen, who appears to be grossly impulsed by her when they first meet. Later on in the story like it or not Bella ‘gets to know’ Edward and his family until she finally goes out with him. What makes this story even more resistable is the fact that these outsiders are not human. But vampires.
Now you’re probably thinking that its some overly exagerated vamp cliche. But its not, its quite the contrary often busting myths of silver bullets and crosses and redifining them into something new. This book is very realistic and can be related to on so many different levels. It’s beautifully written and defies anyones myths of a hollywood rerun.
This anticipated book will have even me waiting outside the door at 2 in the moring.
And to REALLY top this saga off a movie for the first book is coming out as of Decmber 12th. This will be good. To learn more go the authors’ web site.
